Optimist U13 Greek Championship

The Sailing Club of Agios Nikolaos hosted one of the most important sailing events of the year, the Panhellenic Optimist U13 Championship, which was held from 15th to 19th of June 2025.

The Event was held under the Hellenic Sailing Federation and with the co-organization with the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos and DAEAN – Municipal Public Company of Agios Nikolaos.

A new great distinction for NA. Ο. Vonitsas with Lokasti Pappa taking 3rd place in the girls! Lokasti showed great stability in the 9 sailing races held and worthyly climbed the podium, also the only athlete in the top ten girls from a group outside Attica! Stathis Jefrios 17th (gold fleet) performed very well while the other children who participated for the first time in a Pan-Hellenic event, and even in difficult weather conditions, showed that they are on the right track. In detail: Antonis Bourdaras 82nd (gold fleet), Alkioni Fengaris 30th, Paraskevi MItili 53rd, Stamatina Dimaka 58th. Many congratulations to Coach Leonidas and also to the accompanying parents!
